Everyone Loves A Horse Race!

Two, four-horse drawn wagons race around the arena in sharp-turnin’ dirt-slingin’ excitement. “It’s cowboy NASCAR, baby, If you ain’t rubbin’ - you ain’t racin'” says Kenny Petet.  Petet is the owner, and operator of Gone With The Wind Chuckwagon Racing Teams. The team adopted that name, after the 16-pony racing team were on a lay-over in Arkansas and miraculously survived a destructive tornado that ripped through the area in 2007. The trailer, wagons, and racing supplies were all gone, in addition to the devastation experienced by the  people, homes and businesses in the community. After rebuilding, within just two weeks, they were on the rodeo trail again.

Gone With The Wind Chuckwagon Racing Teams have been featured as a specialty act at The 2010 National Finals Rodeo opening, 2010 World’s Toughest Cowboy Tour,  2008 PRCA Prairie Circuit Finals, 2006 PRCA Texas Circuit Finals, the Mesquite Championship rodeo from 1998-2009, seen on FOX Sports Network, various commercials, and a PRCA rodeo near you.
